It seems that Nottingham Forest’s double deal to sign two Benfica youngsters may end up being concluded earlier than expected.
The Portuguese press has been claiming that João Carvalho and Diogo Gonçalves would have their transfers done ‘later this month’, and today, A Bola brigs some interesting updates about it.
They say the players should be travelling to England together next week, when they will have their contracts with Forest ‘formalised’.
Midfielder João Carvalho is the one who’s moving on a permanent deal. The 21-year-old will cost the Championship side €15m.
A Bola claims that the buying option Forest should have for him will be over €15m, although they don’t know the exact amount yet.
A Bola makes it clear that it’s all agreed, and only medicals and signatures are left for the double deal to be made official. So Nottingham Forest are really close to getting a pretty interesting deal ahead of the season.
