Despite a growing number of claims (some more positive than others) Tottenham and Club Brugge were in talks over the transfer of Victor Wanyama, an agreement still hasn’t been announced.

That means other interested clubs still have a chance of scuppering the Belgian side’s plans, and that’s what Monaco are allegedly trying to do.

According to Soccer Link, the Ligue 1 club have started looking at the Kenya international rather seriously recently, and talks with Tottenham are reportedly already underway.

They maintain their stance the player was allowed to undergo a medical in Belgium by Spurs ahead of a potential move to Brugge, which they claim he did and then returned to London.

Despite doing so, Wanyama is said to be mulling over the offer from the Jupiler Pro League club, and this delay has allowed Monaco to creep in.

They aren’t the only ones interested too, as the principality club’s interest in Franck Kessie has also made Milan turn their attention to Wanyama, but they are just ‘thinking about him’ for now.

It seems this could be one of the more exciting sagas of this final week, and a few twists and turns lie ahead still, by the looks of things.
