The front page of Friday’s AS covers players the Spanish newspaper believes will be bargains in the summer transfer window.
Low cost signings will be important for La Liga clubs this summer, just as will be the case across Europe. Whilst some of the clubs with the best finances may be able to easily manage the Covid-19 crisis, it’s going to be difficult for others, and that even includes clubs like Barcelona.
Willian and Pedro are the two Chelsea players presented by AS as being potential bargains. The Brazilian is valued by the newspaper at €22.5m, but he’ll be available on a free this summer if he doesn’t renew with the Blues.
Having spoken to the Brazilian media repeatedly during the current break from football, Willian has made it clear a renewal isn’t close and it’s thought in Brazil that an exit is increasingly likely.
Pedro is valued by AS at €9.5m, and it’s stated he’s on the ‘exit ramp’ at Chelsea, with his contract also ending in the summer.
There’s no claim over which La Liga clubs could chase the pair.
