Turkey’s AMK Spor claim Besiktas are interested in signing Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
The Turkish club sold their first-choice goalkeeper Fabri to Fulham in a deal worth around €6m a few weeks ago, and AMK Spor say Southampton’s Forster could be the man to replace the Spanish goalkeeper.
Besiktas have been linked with a move for Arsenal’s David Ospina this summer but recent reports suggest his wage demands are a concern for Besiktas. Subsequently the Istanbul club have taken a step back in their pursuit to sign the Colombia international.
AMK Spor report Besiktas are now targeting Forster in a surprise move, and the Turkish club look set to open talks with Southampton over a loan move.
The former Celtic goalkeeper made just 20 appearances for the Premier League club last season after being replaced in the starting line up by Alex McCarthy.
Forster is under contract at Southampton until 2022, and Besiktas will probably have trouble matching his wages too.
