Besiktas are closing in on a deal for Everton’s Dele Alli, having already struck an agreement on his contract terms.
That’s according to Sabah, who say the Turkish side are set to finalise the ‘transfer of the year’ in the Süper Lig.
Reports emerged yesterday in Turkey stating that Besiktas were pushing to sign Alli and were quickly backed up by similar reports in England.
A loan deal is now being worked on by the two clubs and Sabah provide their own information.
They state that the agreement ‘was reached’ with the Everton man, who they label a ‘world famous star’ and a ‘great opportunity’ who has been approved by manager Valerien Ismael.
The Turkish side are now in the ‘final stage’ of the process to sign him on a season long loan deal with an option to buy at the end of it.
Besiktas believe they can turn Alli’s situation around and submitted a loan offer last week. Talks have now progressed, and they’ve reached an agreement ‘to a great extent’.
Talks have also been held with the player and there has been a ‘handshake’ on an annual salary of €2.25m for an initial one-year deal plus three years if he signs permanently.
Dele has also been in contact with former Tottenham players Kevin N’Koudou and Gedson Fernandes, who are a part of the current Besiktas squad.
He received positive feedback from both players about the facilities, fans and life in Istanbul and is now waiting for Besiktas to ‘finish the job’ and seal his loan move with Everton.
