Four days ago, Bild reported a Liverpool delegation had held a meeting with Ryan Gravenberch’s entourage and plan to have a new meeting soon with the Bayern Munich player’s camp.

This was backed up by De Telegraaf on Monday, who stated the Reds have held talks with the 20-year-old’s father over a potential deal. It was also explained the midfielder is interested in a transfer to Anfield.

Sky Deutschland now claim Liverpool are one of the clubs interested in the player, who has been ‘dissatisfied’ with his current situation at the Allianz Arena.

The Netherlands international has failed to have prominence since he joined the Bavarian club from Ajax last summer. He’s been restricted to only one league start and two more in the Champions League this season.

Sky transfer expert Florian Plettenberg explains the Dutchman is “unhappy” at Bayern and Jürgen Klopp’s side have come forward to sign him. He explains why the Merseyside club would find it difficult to carry out a deal for the midfielder in the next window.

“But the player is definitely NOT for sale in the summer – bosses and Thomas Tuchel have confirmed that. They all believe in him. Bayern will not listen to any offers for Gravenberch,” Plettenberg said.

There’s every chance this is Bayern Munich starting their side of transfer games, to make sure they get the best price possible for their player.

The Bundesliga side are hardly going to send out the message they’re happy to sell to Liverpool, because that would put downwards pressure on the fee.
