Eintracht Frankfurt are growing confident they may be able to lure Pascal Groß from Brighton and Hove Albion this summer.
That’s according to BILD, who say the ‘trail appears to be hot again’ on the prospect of the midfielder making a move to the German side.
The Brighton star was full of praise for them back in November, with reports at the time and leading up to the January transfer window suggesting he could swap Brighton for Frankfurt.
He insisted at the time he knew nothing about the apparent interest, but BILD say ‘that may have changed now’.
Eintracht Frankfurt still want to sign Groß and they’ve ‘reopened the trail’ to the midfielder, believing that their chances of getting a deal done are not bad.
They have ‘strong arguments’ in their favour thanks to their strong sporting development in recent years and their proximity to Groß’s hometown of Mannheim.
The big issue would be money, as the 32-year-old would have to take a significant pay cut from his current salary at Brighton.
If he’s willing to do this and agree to the return to Germany, the belief is that Frankfurt have a good chance of securing his signature this summer.
