Calciomercato has an exclusive on Monday which talks up potential Juventus interest in Christian Eriksen, and then moves to talk it down again.
The Denmark international’s situation at Tottenham is said to be ‘delicate’. With the club working hard in recent years to get renewals, they still haven’t managed to tie Eriksen to the club beyond the end of his current contract.
With that deal ending in June 2020, the situation is becoming worrisome for the Premier League club.
It’s explained that whilst Juventus have been interested in the player in recent years, the signing is thought to be very difficult and he’s not a priority for the club.
Eriksen’s entourage are said to have been exploring the option of swapping Tottenham for the Turin club, but things haven’t gone anywhere at this stage.
Spurs aren’t ready to give a discount in the summer, regardless of the player’s contract situation, and it’s explained that ‘very tough’ Daniel Levy’ wants to ‘try again’ for a renewal.
Juventus, explain Calciomercato, don’t see it ‘as an easy track’.
