Sandro Ramirez to Tottenham Hotspur just won’t go away. The Spanish media seem to have something new on the story every day, and the player’s recent form is encouraging transfer rumours.
Tottenham have been linked with Sandro for some time, and those links have remerged over the past week or so. Signing for Malaga on a free transfer last summer, Sandro has a buyout clause of around €6m, something he’s confirmed himself this week.
Vincent Janssen’s failure to add enough goals at Tottenham was always likely to lead to links to other forwards, and that’s the case with Sandro. If Mauricio Pochettino was interested when the player was at Barcelona, as it was reported he was, then he’s surely more interested now.
Despite being just 21 years of age, Sandro has been crucial in helping Malaga avoid relegation. With 12 goals overall, the youngster stepped up when it really mattered and has netted 5 goals in his last five games.
Marca report on links in their Thursday edition, and claim Tottenham made some sort of attempt in January, and are therefore expected to return during the summer transfer window.
Malaga will have a tough time keeping hold of Sandro, report Marca, with Tottenham and others clearly a tempting prospect for the player.
