Wanting to sign a new forward, Inter have set their sights on Bordeaux’s Malcom, but their financial restrictions have made their attempts futile for the time being.
With the Ligue 1 side preferring to sell their star outright and the Serie A side trying to be frugal with their spending due to their ongoing yearly battles with FFP, all they’ve managed to put together so far is a paid loan with a view to buy later.
As things stand, that hasn’t been enough to convince Bordeaux, who know clubs like Tottenham would be more than happy to pay the money should they come knocking, but TuttoMercatoWeb seem to think Malcom wouldn’t be interested if they did.
The Italian website believe Inter is the only club the Brazilian wants to play for next season, having already agreed a five-year, €2.5m/year contract with the Champions League outfit.
This seems unlikely considering how much Malcom appeared to be pushing for an exit in January when Tottenham were the only ones seriously linked, and he’d probably earn a lot more in London than he would in Milan.
Furthermore, back in January, Bordeaux’s president stated one of Malcom’s dreams was to play in the Premier League.
Either way, the €10m loan with a view to pay a further €30m next year bid put on the table by Inter has yet to be accepted by the Ligue 1 side.
Over in France, the belief is that Tottenham have recently contacted both Bordeaux and the player’s entourage about rekindling January’s negotiations.
