On Monday, Le10 Sport revealed that Tottenham had once again opened talks regarding a potential transfer to Wembley for Bordeaux’s Malcom, having made contact with both the club and the winger’s entourage.

Twenty-four hours later, and France Football come along with their information, confirming that Spurs have indeed come forward, but they aren’t the only ones.

The French magazine explain on their website that AS Roma have also decided to give signing the Brazilian a go, with their director of football, Monchi, interested by the youngster.

However, much like Inter, the Serie A side are likely to struggle to convince Bordeaux unless they offer a lot of money up front rather than in instalments, which is the Ligue 1 club’s desire.

This is where Tottenham have the advantage of owning a deeper wallet, and France Football believe the club could ‘move forward’ in the coming days.

For now, Malcom has returned from holiday to train with Bordeaux, with whom he has a contract until 2021, while he waits for his future to sort itself out.
