Málaga don’t want to see Sandro Ramírez leave the club so easily.

As we’ve seen in the past few months, the 14 goals scored by the striker this season have attracted interest from several clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, which is a big concern for the Spanish side.

Manager Míchel González has spoken to Radio Marca Málaga this Thursday, and said that losing Sandro is not something that crosses their mind right now.

Málaga Hoy, who covered the interview, claims that Tottenham, Villarreal, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are the main candidates to sign the player.

Mauricio Pochettino has long been credited with interest and with Vincent Janssen’s failure to add enough goals this season, Sandro could be seen as another good addition to the Tottenham squad.

“I do not think about the scenario without Sandro.

“A great advantage is to seduce the player with the possibility of being a leader for the fans and building a team around him. And that seduction to the player has not gone unnoticed.

“If we have made him doubt, it is because he knows that here he will live well. The possibility is growing in percentage. If that is so, it is because he is an intelligent boy and runs his career very well. He’s not deaf to our recommendations because he is a clever guy.”

The biggest issue for Malaga is that they don’t have much of a say in case of a sale. As Sandro has a release clause of around €6m, clubs such as Tottenham have no problem triggering it.

After leaving Barcelona at the end of his contract last year, Sandro signed a deal with Malaga which runs until 2019.
