Earlier this month, L’Equipe reported Tottenham Hotspur are ready to ‘make a big effort’ in signing Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon in the summer transfer window.
On June 16th, Telefoot asked the midfielder about the recent speculation linking him with a move to the north London club.
He said: “Yes, it’s true Tottenham is a great team, it’s a big club. They finished fourth in a big championship, and are finalists in the Champions League. It’s a big club, like others. Which player wouldn’t be interested in a big club?!”
Soccer Link now brings the latest update regarding Tottenham interest in the France international.
It’s claimed Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is aware of the competition for the 22-year-old, which is why he is ‘determined to take action quickly’.
‘In recent hours’, Spurs have launched their first bid of €60m for Ndombele. However, the Ligue 1 side are demanding €90m to part ways with the player.
It remains to be seen if Tottenham can convince Lyon to lower their demands or it they’ll submit an improved deal to secure Ndombele’s services.
