Tottenham Hotspur sent a scout to yesterday’s game between Sampdoria and Chievo Verona, according to claims in the Italian media. The Premier League side have already been present at Sampdoria games this season, with claims they’re casting an eye over Patrik Schick.
TMW have reported Tottenham were on the scouting list to watch the Serie A clash this weekend, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Tottenham were joined by Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, and the two clubs had the same objective… to get a lowdown on Schick.
The Czech youngster has impressed for Sampdoria this season, and has also been linked with a move to Juventus and Inter Milan.
Earlier in the season we covered reports Tottenham had attended the game between Sampdoria and Inter Milan, with reports they were watching Schnick. It was also speculated the North London side were monitoring Inter Milan pair Geoffrey Kondogbia and Jeison Murillo, but that didn’t make quite as much sense.
The 21 year old only arrived in Italy last summer, and has scored 13 goals in 31 games for the Sampdoria.
It wasn’t one of Schick’s best matches, but 21 year old Lucas Torreira had another good game, and, as we’ve pointed out before, could be the man Tottenham are really interested in.
