In March 2017, we covered a claim from Germany that Tottenham were interested in Nadiem Amiri.

The Hoffenheim youngster was impressing the German media and Spurs were said to be keen alongside Atletico Madrid, with both clubs having a good record of developing talent.

RB Leipzig had made a €13m offer the summer before, but that was knocked back by Hoffenheim but Bild thought things could be different if a club tried the same that summer, as his deal was due to expire in June 2018.

In June 2017 he extended the contract until 2020, and this coming summer there’s set to be transfer pressure again. This week’s edition of SportBild reports there’s an exit clause applicable this summer of €17m.

The side interested in the 22 year old attacker midfielder are named as Tottenham, Arsenal and Schalke. There’s no Atletico this time.

Having recently come back from injury, missing the first half of the season due a to a foot fatigue fracture, Amiri will want to get some games under his belt before deciding his future.

SportBild say he’s ‘open to offers’ from top club who have the chance of winning titles.
