German newspaper Bild sound like they’re big fans of Nadiem Amiri. The 20 year old Hoffenheim player has represented Germany at all youth levels and is currently with the U21 group.

Mainly an attacking midfielder, Amiri has played through the middle for Hoffenheim this season, as well as the odd appearance out wide. The youngster has scored 2 goals and provided four assists in 1544 minutes of Bundesliga action during the current campaign.

His performances have caught the eye of both Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid, explain Bild. Tottenham and Atletico are both known for recruiting good talents at impressive prices and then watching as their values grow with development.

It’s clear Mauricio Pochettino would rather work with young footballers he can mould, and Amiri falls into that category.

Last summer RB Leipzig offered Hoffenheim €13m, but it wasn’t enough. The situation would likely be different this summer, because Amiri’s contract ends in June 2018. That could see Tottenham or another club pick up a great young talent, thought highly of in Germany, for a bargain price.
