Last Friday, we covered claims made by Fichajes.net that Nuno Espírito Santo has ‘demanded’ Tottenham Hotspur sign Granada’s Domingos Duarte. The defender has two years left on a contract which includes a €30m release clause.
On August 24th, AS reported Spurs had made a ‘first offer’ of €8m, but it was turned down by the La Liga side.
It was also stated the Spanish club are of the belief the Premier League side will return with an improved bid.
That’s happened now as Fichajes.net claim Spurs ‘raise their offer’ to sign the centre-back, whose future at Granada is in ‘danger’ due to the north London club’s interest.
Tottenham have already added Cristian Romero to their squad, but the former Wolves manager still wants his side to bring in another player to bolster the defence.
Fichajes.net claim Tottenham’s initial offer for Duarte was ‘rejected directly’ by Granada.
Since then, the amount for the new proposal from Nuno’s side has ‘already been raised’ and ‘transferred’ to Granada.
There’s no details of the new offer sent by Tottenham and also no mention whether or not it will be accepted by Granada.
