As Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked to Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu, we get to see some fresh updates coming from Italian newspaper Tuttosport today.
The outlet writes that the 22-year-old is ‘always closer’ to the Premier League side, and there’s a special reason for that.
Bologna are making several signings this summer, and that means they’ll need to work on a big sale. There are a few players who could generate a decent income, and Tomiyasu is one of them.
Tuttosport writes that Tottenham ‘like’ the player and could now raise their offer to €20m.
It had already been reported by the Italian media that Spurs placed a bid of €18m for the Japan international. And a second attempt from the London side has been expected, as last week, Corriere Di Bologna had already been talked about it.
Other Premier League sides such as Manchester United and West Ham United have both been linked to the player as well, but it’s really Tottenham whose interest is often highlighted by the local media.
