Starting just once in the Premier League this season under Ange Postecoglou, it’s only normal to see stories about Pierre-Emile Højbjerg potentially leaving Tottenham.

It’s not ideal for the Denmark international, but Spurs, knowing that the likes of Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma will leave for the Africa Cup of Nations, aren’t keen to let him go.

Højbjerg’s Tottenham situation has drawn interest from various clubs, and La Stampa in Italy claim the midfielder already has an agreement with two of them.

They explain the 28-year-old is Juventus’ number one target for the January transfer window, and his agent ‘already has an agreement’ with both the Turin side and Atletico Madrid.

However, Tottenham, as per usual, aren’t going to just accept this, and are ‘asking for more than €30m’ for their player and aren’t open to the idea of him leaving on loan.

As things stand, Juventus are negotiating with Spurs to ‘lower’ their requests, but we all know that once Daniel Levy has something set in mind, he rarely deviates from it.

Therefore, Tottenham are unlikely to budge in their stance, meaning the Serie A side will have to cough up the money (unlikely) or move to other targets, such as Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips.
