Tottenham Hotspur youngster Alejo Véliz is about to complete a move away from the club, according to the latest claims.
Journalist Rudi Galetti writes that the player is currently travelling to Sevilla to have a medical with the La Liga side.
The Spanish club are still in talks with Tottenham, with whom there’s no full agreement yet.
Galetti claims that Sevilla want to ‘be sure’ about Véliz’s physical condition before completing the deal with Spurs.
The idea is said to be for a loan, and the La Liga side will not have a buying option over the youngster. These are said to be ‘decisive hours’ for the deal.
Tottenham invested €15m when signing Véliz from Rosario Central last summer. The 20-year-old had very little playing time in his first few months in London, though, as he played only 45 minutes in a total of eight appearances. He even scored a goal in a defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, but clearly needs to get more experience somewhere else.
With Spurs not including a buying option, it seems clear there’s faith in his potential.
