Tottenham’s chances of signing defender Domingos Duarte are currently ‘slim’ after a ‘derisory’ first offer.
That’s what Onda Vasca, cited by Grada 3, report today in a piece about how Granada are lining up replacements in case Tottenham make a serious effort to get their man.
Spurs have been named as suitors for Duarte over the last week, with a first offer having been submitted and swiftly rejected.
That bid was reportedly upped today, and it remains to be seen if it will be accepted by Onda Vasca’s take on the situation suggests it probably won’t be.
They say the first offer from Tottenham was considered as ‘derisory’, and unless they ‘lose their mind’ and ‘add a lot’ to their offer, then Duarte is likely to be staying where he is for the time being.
The Spanish side are planning ahead in case there is a big move from Fabio Paratici in the last week of the transfer window.
They are eyeing a move for Unai Núñez, who has been relegated to a ‘residual role’ at Athletic Bilbao and could therefore be available.
Athletic are unlikely to sanction a departure unless they receive a ‘huge’ bid which would be impossible for Granada to offer at this moment in time.
That could change if Tottenham were to seriously up their offer for Duarte and offer a massive fee, something Onda seem to think would be unlikely to happen.
