Tottenham are now linked to Sandro Ramirez by the Spanish media daily. The player’s good recent form, six goals in six games, means he’s in the news a lot, and a good percentage of that is transfer related.
Mauricio Pochettino has been credited with interest in the player since he was at Barcelona, but didn’t make a move to sign Sandro on a free last summer. Bringing in Vincent Janssen, Pochettino saw Sandro join Malaga, but very much on the player’s own terms.
Sandro insisted on, and got, a low buyout clause, meaning he can leave Malaga for around €6m. That’s of interest to a growing number of clubs, with Tottenham perhaps the one mentioned more than any other.
Pochettino’s men have ‘knocked on the door’ to sign Sandro, report Spanish newspaper AS, and the growing interest is concerning Malaga. AS also linked Liverpool, Everton, Villarreal, Atletico, and Sevilla, showing the level of clubs keen on a deal.
Malaga would like to get Sandro to sign a new contract on improved terms, presumably with a much higher buyout clause.
By snubbing Tottenham and others, Sandro would have the chance to be a club’s major star, and Malaga will hope the 21 year old thinks it’s best to stick this summer rather than twist.
