Over the past two weeks, Mundo Deportivo have come up with multiple reports about Tottenham Hotspur being keen on signing Carles Aleñá in January after failing to get the Barcelona player in the summer.
The 21-year-old has a €75m release clause and the same newspaper reported on October 22nd that Spurs need to ‘scratch their pockets’ to sign him.
Journalist Miguel Rico explained on Wednesday the La Liga winners are will allow a few players to leave in January and the Spaniard was included in the list.
Rico now brings the latest update on the last page of Mundo Deportivo. He states ‘Aleñá, loan in January in sight’ as he has ‘all the numbers’ to leave Ernesto Valverde’s side in January.
That’s just a Spanish way of saying the odds for a move are building.
Several clubs in Spain and two Premier League sides are ‘interested’ in Aleñá and Tottenham are one among them.
Aleñá’s only appearance of this season came in August and both the player and Barca understand the former has to play regular football.
