Fanatik and FutbolArena both report Besiktas defender Dusko Tosic is a target for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the January transfer window, which is genuinely eybrow raising stuff.
The former Queens Park Rangers defender has impressed for Besiktas this season, and both Turkish media outlets suggest Tottenham are ready to offer €8m to sign the player.
It’s been claimed Tottenham could move in on the former QPR player in the January window as Mauricio Pochettino looks to strengthen his squad. The Serbian international can play at either left back or in the central defence, and is expected to represent his country at Russia 2018.
Tottenham should expect competition to sign Tosic with reports other clubs are showing an interest in the Besiktas player.
Tosic already has experience playing in England after his spell with QPR in 2010. The defender was loaned to QPR from Portsmouth due to Pompey’s financial problems.
After his short stay with QPR, Tosic went on to play for Red Star Belgrade, before a brief stint with Betis, moving to Turkey with Gençlerbirliği S.K., and then Besiktas.
Pochettino being interested would be a surprise, given Tosic turns 33 years of age in January.
