Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham Hotspur after this season remains unclear even though he has a deal until 2024, as a few top clubs have already showed interest in him.

Spurs looked at Lautaro Martínez when Kane came close to leaving them in 2021 and could return for the Inter Milan player if the England striker were to leave them in the summer.

InterLive.it state Tottenham’s pressure to sign the 25-year-old could ‘grow dramatically’ and this would happen should Kane leave the north London club.

The England international’s exit would force the Premier League side look for a new striker and this is where the World Cup winner would fit in. Inter chief Giuseppe Marotta would part ways with the frontman if there an offer of at least €80m was made.

In 2021, Tottenham made a bid in excess of €90m for the Argentine, which was turned down by Inter. The situation could be different this time around because the Italian club must raise funds to improve their economic situation.

Spurs could be given a new chance to sign Martínez in the summer, and Marotta seems to be ready to sanction his sale if there’s an offer of at least €80m.

The South American’s sale would have a good impact on Inter’s budget, which is also needed to reinvest it on signings.

For now, Martínez to Tottenham only sounds like a possibility if Kane were to leave them, meaning that until the latter is at Spurs, the Inter player would only be an idea for the Premier League side.

Martínez has 19 goals and eight assists from 45 games this season.
