On October 6th, various reports coming out of Italy stated Tottenham Hotspur have Dušan Vlahović in their sights for a January transfer.
The striker has decided not to renew his contract, that is set to expire in 2023, and Fiorentina want ‘no less than €75m’ to sanction his sale.
Having finished the last campaign with 21 goals and four assists, he has six goals and an assist to his name this season. The Serbia international’s impressive stats and contract situation has seen him attract interest from several clubs.
Journalist Enrico Camelio told Calciomercato.it that Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici tried to sign the 21-year-old for Juventus more than a year ago, but the Turin club were then not in favour of this operation.
It’s said Paratici wants to rectify the blow he suffered with Juve by completing Vlahović’s signing for the north London club.
“The team that is on Vlahovic now, not surprisingly, is Tottenham. They are talking to the player’s entourage and not to Fiorentina. The economic agreement was also probably found,” Camelio said.
With Tottenham currently in talks with the Serbian’s entourage, Calciomercato.it say the chances of him leaving Italy ‘could be very high’, and now there’s an assumption on personal terms being agreed.
