Tottenham Hotspur ‘cannot be left out’ in the race for Lazio star Sergej Milinković-Savić.
That’s according to La Lazio Siamo Noi, who state the Serie A side ‘know’ the 27-year-old can leave the club and are ‘waiting for the right offer’ in the coming weeks. Their chief, Claudio Lotito, is ready to negotiate if he were to receive an offer of around €75-80m.
The Serbia international feels the time is right for him to make a jump elsewhere in the next window and the Biancocelesti are aware of his ‘will’ to change clubs.
Juventus have appeared on the scene and the midfielder ‘really likes the destination’, after having held talks with his compatriot and the Turin club’s striker, Dušan Vlahović.
Milinković-Savić’s agent Mateja Kežman has also held talks with Juventus sporting director Federico Cherubini.
The latter has made it clear to the representative the Old Lady cannot meet the demands set by Lotito. Their idea is to offer €45-50m plus some of their own players, to carry out the deal.
Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the former Genk man as their sporting director, Leonardo, has long been an admirer of the player.
Lotito is aware the Ligue 1 side have the financial muscle to seal the deal and therefore, is ‘mainly betting’ on PSG, more than Manchester United.
However, ‘Tottenham cannot be left out’ in the transfer race since both ‘Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are crazy’ about the player.
For the transfer to take shape, ‘a lot will depend’ on Spurs qualifying for next season’s Champions League as this could see them ‘really make an attempt’ to sign the Lazio star in the summer. Milinković-Savić, for his part, would prefer a move to either PSG or Juve.
