After guiding Inter Milan to title success, Antonio Conte stepped down as the Serie A side’s manager on Wednesday.
The former Chelsea boss has been linked to Tottenham Hotspur, who are yet to appoint a permanent successor to José Mourinho, more than a month after sacking him.
Conte’s successor at Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri, has also been reported as a target for Spurs.
Having left the Turin club in 2019, Allegri is yet to return to management, but that could soon change with several top European clubs either looking for a new coach or planning to replace their manager for next season.
A ‘Top Secret’ report in today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo claims Allegri has been offered to Barcelona.
Ronald Koeman’s future at the Camp Nou is uncertain, a year after he was appointed as the Catalan club’s manager.
Regarding Allegri, the report states he’s had offers from AS Roma and Tottenham. However, he ‘rejected’ them because the Italian is waiting for a call from Real Madrid.
Zinedine Zidane is currently in charge of Los Blancos and Mundo state he could continue at the club.
This would see Allegri’s desire to join Real Madrid fade, which is why an intermediary has now offered him to Barcelona, ensuring the Blaugrana the former AC Milan coach would positively value the proposal from the Spanish club.
