Udinese rejected Everton’s offer for Beto towards the end of the winter market. This was confirmed by the Serie A side’s coach, Andrea Sottil, and their technical director, Pierpaolo Marino.
The striker has managed 10 goals and two assists from 31 games this season. Even though he has a deal until 2026, it’s possible for him to part ways with the Italian club in the summer.
That’s according to Mondo Udinese, who state Everton are still in the picture to sign the 25-year-old.
There are several teams that follow the Portuguese’s performances for Udinese. When discussing the clubs who are ‘serious’ about him, the Toffees are mentioned. In fact, Sean Dyche’s side are ‘certainly at the top of the list’ of clubs chasing the frontman.
Everton are 17th in the table with 32 points, two points ahead of Leicester City and Leeds United, who are in 18th and 19th. If the Merseyside club were to avoid relegation, they could focus on Beto again in the next window.
Udinese rejected a €30m bid made by the Toffees in January. The report adds ‘everything will be different’ in the summer and ‘such an offer should be enough to complete’ the deal for Beto.
