On April 26th, Gazzetta dello Sport stated Chelsea’s Kalidou Koulibaly is available for sale, less than a year after he arrived at the Bridge from Napoli. It was also said the Blues have given up on him.
Juventus have been pushed forward as a candidate to sign the centre-back, if the west London club were to make him available on loan in the summer.
TuttoMercatoWeb have interviewed the Chelsea defender’s former agent, Bruno Satin, and asked his views on the 31-year-old missing out on winning the Scudetto with Napoli later this month.
TMW immediately asked ‘could he leave’ Chelsea after this season. Responding to that, Satin explained: “It seems that at Chelsea they want to change a lot… he told me that he’s fine in London.
“I no longer manage his interests, but many young people are signed, it could be that they want to make a generational change. Even if starting from scratch is always complicated.”
Koulibaly is currently represented by Fali Ramadani. The Senegal international arrived at Chelsea when their owner, Todd Boehly, acted as interim director last summer.
The Premier League side have struggled this season, which is one of the reasons the defender hasn’t been able to shine. He’s featured 31 times for Chelsea, managing two goals and an assist in the process.
