As seems to be the tradition for West Ham and transfer windows, the Hammers have been repeatedly linked with strikers this summer but as the window edges towards its conclusion they haven’t managed to get a deal over the line.

Gaëtan Laborde is one of the possibilities for the Premier League club, and has been linked repeatedly with a move to David Moyes’ side, with the claims stretching back to previous transfer markets.

L’Equipe report West Ham remain an option for the 27-year-old, but it’s made clear the Montpellier striker has more than one possibility. Sevilla, Lyon and Zenit have all been keen, and now Rennes have moved into the picture.

Rennes have initiated contact with Montpellier, and the latter are looking for a deal worth around €20m to part ways with Laborde.

The French newspaper explains it’s ‘time to choose’ for Laborde, and he’ll need to pick a destination and hope a deal can be done before the window finally comes to a close.
