AFC Bournemouth have joined a few German clubs in the race to sign Inter Milan’s Robin Gosens, according to reports in Italy.
Operating as a left wing-back, he managed four goals from 49 games last season. His future may be away from the Serie A side.
Sportitalia state the 28-year-old ‘prefers’ to make a switch to Germany in the summer, where Union Berlin and VfL Wolfsburg have shown interest in him. ‘There is Bournemouth’ also in the mix.
It’s claimed Gary O’Neil’s side ‘will try until the end’ to sign the Germany international even though he prefers a move to his home country.
Journalist Alfredo Pedullà has provided additional information on this case on his website. He says Union Berlin, Wolfsburg and Bournemouth have all carried out polls ‘recently’ for the player.
Pedullà adds Gosens ‘can leave’ the San Siro in the ‘coming weeks’ and Inter’s intention is to earn no less than €20m from his sale in the summer.
Whether the Cherries can convince the German to change his mind and make a switch to the Premier League remains to be seen.
