Manchester United take on Real Sociedad in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
While Ruben Amorim’s side is haunted by a raft of injuries, the Spanish club also had a similar situation some days ago. Things are now looking brighter for La Real, who could have two key players back for the Red Devils’ trip to San Sebastian.
Mundo Deportivo today have reported that Real Sociedad trained earlier today and they have ‘the best news’ emerging from the camp.
Mikel Oyarzabal trained with the side after not featuring against Barcelona at the weekend due to a niggle. Martin Zubimendi, who had a knee injury concern in the past few days, also trained and has not picked up anything serious.
Nayef Aguerd was not in the squad for the game against Barcelona but he is also back for the Manchester United tie.
This comes as bad news for the Red Devils, who struggled to beat Ipswich Town some days ago and find themselves 14th in the table.
Manchester United have a host of fitness issues themselves and considering how they were knocked out of the FA Cup at the hands of Fulham, winning the Europa League is their only shot at silverware this season.
