Swansea City are reportedly the latest club to enter the race for Vincent Aboubakar, and the second Premier League club linked recently, along with Newcastle United.
A Bola have really short update on the chase today, saying Swansea have now joined Besiktas, Fenerbahce, Rennes and Newcastle in the competition.
As you can see in the attached image, they don’t have much info on the interest, and we expect this battle to be dragged through the entire summer until someone shows up paying the price.
Aboubakar belongs to Porto, but spent the last season on loan at Besiktas, where he scored 19 goals in 38 games.
The Portuguese side only own 37.5% of the striker’s rights, which will severely impact their income from the player. Despite that, recent reports from Portugal have been saying that €10m is the minimum price to take the player.
Swansea and Newcastle United fans who want to see more of him should be keep an eye on the Confederations Cup, as the striker has been starting for Cameroon. Maybe Paul Clement and Rafael Benitez are also watching.
