Fanatik claim Fenerbahce have started their summer transfer window ‘operation’, with reports the Super Lig club are interested in Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
The Bosnian shot-stopper hasn’t enjoyed his best season for the Cherries after he lost his place to Artur Boruc and Mark Travers during the final months of the campaign. Begovic wasn’t even selected for Eddie Howe’s match day squad last weekend.
According to Fanatik, Fenerbahce could make an offer to sign the 31 year old as the Turkish side will be looking to add a goalkeeper to their squad after their disappointing campaign. It’s claimed Begovic is likely to cost the Istanbul club in the region of €7m.
With his Bournemouth future up in the air, Begovic has also been linked with a move to Greek club Olympiacos in recent weeks.
The former Chelsea goalkeeper has played 24 games for Bournemouth this season and is under contract with the Premier League club until June 2021.
