Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has quickly found out just how hard it is to manage Manchester United. Now he faces his first transfer window in charge at Old Trafford, and it’s an especially important one, both in terms of who leaves and arrives.

If recent history has served a lesson on United transfers, it’s clear the Norwegian is going to have to stand up to Ed Woodward and make it clear what, and specifically who, he wants bringing in.

Otherwise, a less than impressive window will see Solskjaer dismissed as a ‘yes man’ just there to please the Glazer family.

Bruno Fernandes is one of the players who has been most linked with a move to Old Trafford over the past few months, and A Bola have another slant on that today.

They state Solskjaer ‘demands’ Bruno. The manager is said to be thinking of him to take a No.10 role, something he feels the Sporting player would be ‘ideal’ for.

Manchester City interest is thought to have encouraged their neighbours to take things more seriously, but it’s explained United will have to wait until after the Portuguese cup final on May 25th to get anything done.

As for Sporting, they plan to see who submits the biggest offer, which could encourage the theory of them pushing City interest to the Portuguese media.

Manchester United won’t only have their local rivals to worry about, with A Bola now dragging Atletico Madrid back into the story.

This comes on the same day claims around a potential Angel Gomes exit emerged. Now, it wouldn’t be the craziest idea for Woodward to offer the youngster to Sporting as part of a Bruno transfer, putting a buyback option in the deal.
