Two newspapers from completely different places are linking Wolverhampton’s Ruben Neves to Manchester City on Friday.
It starts with a story we’ve already covered, which comes from Tuttosport.
They’ve claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side are now in the picture, and could be an obstacle for Juventus in the chase for the midfielder.
And it turns out that Record also has an article which mentions City, and actually favours the club in case of a battle with the Old Lady.
They say the midfielder would rather stay in the Premier League than move to Italy. And when speaking of the interested clubs, the newspaper names Manchester City and Arsenal.
Record doesn’t have many details for now, as most of their story comes from Tuttosport’s recent claims.
But they make it clear that they’ve heard about Neves’ wish themselves, and the City link wasn’t even reported by Tutto on Thursday.
With two distinct stories coming up on the same day, that’s undoubtedly good news for Manchester City fans, who now should get more confident about their chances of getting the player when he looks to move.
It’s interesting that whilst Tutto and Record disagree on whether a transfer to Juventus is likely, they both agree on Manchester City being a distinct possibility.
