The Italian press have always had some interest in Romelu Lukaku. Maybe because of Mino Raiola’s influence in the country or perhaps because of Juventus’ interest in the striker, there’s often some updates on the situation.
Calcio Mercato have come out with a claim that Everton’s match against Chelsea this weekend could be Lukaku’s last against the London club.
Lukaku reportedly told a few friends about his desire to return to the London side, and Antonio Conte would be also very keen on having him to replace Diego Costa at the club.
The problem is that Everton are demanding £100m, making it hard for Chelsea to build a deal. Calcio Mercato claims seem purely prompted by Everton and Chelsea playing each other this weekend, regardless of their claim of fresh information.
It’s hardly a secret that Lukaku is considering and Everton exit this summer, and Chelsea are one of only a few obvious destination. Everton have long been tough on transfer fees and that certainly won’t change for Lukaku.
