In a time when most footballers let their social media accounts be run by their personal staff, Everton star Richarlison is often standing out for interacting with football fans.
The Brazilian forward is frequently seen responding to tweets, and today he even got involved in a discussion following a controversial picture.
It started with Manchester City posting a photo on Instagram where Richarlison was chatting with players from Pep Guardiola’s side.
Brazilian journalist Márcia Magalhães brought the picture to Twitter, where a fan claimed the Everton player shouldn’t behave like that after a defeat.
“Look, I know that the guys are friends and all, but I find it a lack of respect with the fans, the guy loses and then goes to chat with friends on the opposing team, on the pitch as if nothing had happened, as if it were just another defeat. Just my opinion.”
Richarlison wasn’t even tagged in that reply, but somehow, he’s seen it and wrote a direct response, highlighting the importance of his friendship with Manchester City players.
“In two years I’ve seen more of my friends than my family and you come to speak of lack of respect of going there to talk to them! You must be kidding me.”
South Americans are often speaking to the media about the friendship they all have in England, especially between Brazilians. Only in the Manchester and Liverpool area, there are the likes of Richarlison, Bernard, Alisson, Fabinho, Roberto Firmino, Fred, Ederson, Fernandinho and Gabriel Jesus.
