There was a time, not so long ago, that Spanish journalist Kike Marin was a favourite of Arsenal fans on Twitter.
He’d brought some information about transfers and was clearly fond of the Premier League club but things went a little quieter.
Now he’s back with a bang.
On Thursday afternoon, Marin claims that Arsenal have made a €100m offer for Ousmane Dembele.
Barcelona’s attacker has said this week that he plans to stay with the La Liga club, and is happy where he is, but there have been claims in the Catalan media than an offer of such an amount would be considered.
Dembele didn’t shine brightly enough last season, for several reasons, and that created a doubt which has lasted.
Two days ago Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that Arsenal were ‘attentive’ to the player, and they said Arsenal’s ‘proposal could reach €100m’, which would be considered.
Arsenal have long been the club most linked with taking Dembele, but this one certainly seems a deadline day long shot.
