When Manchester United announced Paul Pogba wouldn’t be taking part in Saturday’s friendly against AC Milan, it was inevitable that sooner or later there’d be claims he isn’t really injured and it’s all related to a transfer.

Well, it didn’t take long.

Jose Alvarez, who works for the more-hit-than-miss El Chiringuito, has claimed a big exclusive on Saturday. He says Pogba doesn’t have any injury at all.

The Frenchman has refused to travel to Cardiff because he’s ‘unhappy’ with his current situation and still wants a move to Real Madrid.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to have been informed of the midfielder’s decision during the last training session. However, Alvarez believes the situation remains complicated because Ed Woodward has a strong stance on not selling the player.

There’s another rather big problem here. According to their closest media, Real Madrid haven’t even submitted an offer and there are no current talks between the two clubs for the player’s transfer.

Therefore, Pogba effectively going on strike wouldn’t make a great deal of difference, unless he expected Manchester United to get the ball rolling themselves.
