Earlier today, we covered a report from O Jogo which stated Alex Telles is now closer to continuing with FC Porto than leaving for Manchester United.
With the window closing on Monday, and with no acceptable offer having arrived from Old Trafford, it’s thought the move becomes more unlikely with every hour that passes.
Over in Germany, Borussia Dortmund have again been doing their best to let everyone know Jadon Sancho won’t be going anywhere. They had an early August deadline for a deal to be done at €120m, and Manchester United missed that.
Unless BVB are bluffing, that transfer isn’t happening.
There’s also bad news from Spain, with Cadena Ser reporting Ousmane Dembele won’t be leaving Barcelona. The Frenchman was heavily linked with Manchester United earlier this week, with it even being suggested a deal was on the verge of happening.
It’s explained Ronald Koeman is counting on Dembele, has told the player that, and therefore he won’t be leaving the club.
The situation is presented as fact, and as the end of the saga.
Manchester United supporters will hope one of these situation manages to turn itself around.
