Southampton wide-man could end up at Chelsea in summer merry-go-round

 

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo believe the ‘greats’ of European football will be looking for a right back this summer, with the position one that isn’t blessed with an abundance of options at the moment.

Mundo Deportivo’s local Barcelona have been linked with a right back for many months, which will prompt the story, but it’s claimed that a lot of the top clubs will also want to purchase in the position.

That includes Chelsea, according to the Spanish claims, which they believe could see Southampton’s Cedric Soares end up at Stamford Bridge. There have been tentative rumours linking the Portugal international with Chelsea, but nothing too strong at the moment.

Southampton fans will hope this isn’t another summer to see some of the club’s best players leave, and they’ll also hope Chelsea look elsewhere should Antonio Conte be keen to add in the area.

Manchester City, Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich will all be joining Barcelona and Chelsea in the search for a right back, say Mundo Deportivo.
