Tottenham fans will be well aware their club have been linked with Sandro Ramirez for some time. Those links have appeared again recently in the Spanish press, and naturally made their way to the English media.
Mauricio Pochettino was credited with an interest in Sandro when the player was still at Barcelona, but there were obviously sufficient doubts in the way of the signing, which would have been for free. Pochettino signed Vincent Janssen, and the Dutchman hasn’t lived up to expectations.
Tottenham’s links with Sandro have reappeared at just the right time, with the player in sparkling form. In his last 6 Malaga matches, Sandro has scored 6 goals as well as adding an assist.
Marca rated him as the best player on the pitch as Malaga beat Sevilla 4-2 on Monday, with Sandro getting a goal and an assist.
Sevilla have also been linked heavily to the 21 year old striker, and last week press close to the Spanish club said they’d find strong competition in Tottenham Hotspur.
Sandro last week confirmed he has a buyout clause of €6m, which would be a bargain. If Pochettino interest was ever existent then it surely has to be peaking now, and Tottenham will have to move quickly to get ahead of the competition.
