Piero Hincapié is included in the notebooks of several international observers, including Arsenal.

The Ecuador international moved to Europe when Bayer Leverkusen signed him from Club Atlético Talleres in the summer of 2021.

After his debut season in the Bundesliga, he attracted interest from several clubs across Europe. This was confirmed by the club’s sporting director, Simon Rolfes, back in July.

Calciomercato.it relay this and add the German club have been in talks with the 20-year-old’s agent to renew the player’s contract beyond 2026. The report also mentions his suitors and Arsenal are tagged.

A few Serie A side have set their sights on the left footed centre-back. This includes AC Milan, Napoli and AS Roma, and the trio have watched the defender on more than one occasion.

The South American is also ‘very popular’ in the Premier League, especially at Arsenal. That’s all the report has to be say about Mikel Arteta’s side.

Hincapié’s valuation is thought to be around €25m. It’s claimed Leverkusen are not in a hurry to sell him but have never had many issues when it came to idea of giving up their stars in the past.

With the report suggesting the German club would not make it difficult to let go of their player, it needs to be seen whether Arsenal will consider making an approach for Hincapié.
