Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu is an option for Inter Milan as a replacement for Milan Skriniar if he leaves to join Paris Saint Germain as expected.

That’s according to Inter Live, who look at the situation today and name the various options that the Italian side are looking at.

They say that Skriniar is ‘slowly moving away’ from Inter, having been linked with a move away for much of the summer.

He ultimately decided to stay but his future is far from certain, and speculation continues to mount that he will be gone either in January or next summer.

Aware of that fact, the Nerazzurri are already ‘starting to look around’ and keep their eyes open for potential replacements.

With other options such as Gleison Bremer and Manuel Akanji now having moved elsewhere, the Inter management have expanded their search and landed on Leicester’s Soyuncu.

He’s out of favour under Brendan Rodgers at this moment in time and, crucially, his contract is set to expire next summer.

The latter makes him a very attractive option as Inter will be free to talk to him about a free transfer next summer from January onwards.

Should Skriniar leave in January, they could also sign the Turkish defender on the cheap, with Leicester likely to be open to a cheap deal to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

It’s a situation to keep an eye on, with Inter very much planning for life without Skriniar and Soyuncu in their sights.
