Having managed only three appearances for Norwich City in all competitions, Ralf Fährmann is expected to cut short his loan stay at Carrow Road.

On March 4th, Aftenposten reported the Schalke owned goalkeeper will join SK Brann on loan until the end of the season. It was also explained the 31-year-old was spotted outside the Norwegian club’s stadium.

TV2 in Norway now bring the latest update and they state only ‘small details’ are left for the Canaries player to join Brann on a temporary deal.

Although Fährmann’s loan deal with has not been terminated yet, he has already been spotted in Brann’s shirt on Thursday.

Stig Lillejord, the German custodian’s agent admitted to TV2 that his good relationship with the Bundesliga club helped him to cut short his client’s loan deal with Norwich to join Brann.

“I have a relatively good relationship with Schalke 04. They were in a situation with Ralf that made him need to get playing time. He has sat on the bench for a relatively long time and been second choice at Norwich, but he had a desire to play,” Lillejord said.

Lillejord also explained why Schalke were in favour Fährmann joining the Norwegian club on a temporary deal.

“He is extremely professional and will return to Schalke in the pre-season. He will fight for a first-team place next season. For this reason, Schalke wants him to get there with the best possible conditions. He is extremely motivated to return in the best possible shape,” he added.
