AS, on June 28th, decided to relaunch Toni Kroos to Manchester United, for all our sins.
The report from the Spanish newspaper suggested Jose Mourinho had identified Kroos as a transfer target and United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward was willing to “make a great offer” for the 28-year-old.
Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo now claims Kroos has no intention of leaving Real Madrid for Manchester United in the current transfer window.
After the ‘siren songs’ from Old Trafford, Kroos has spoken to his club and agent and made them aware he’s not interested in a move.
The former Bayern Munich man wants to fulfil his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, which runs down in 2022.
It’s claimed Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola considered the possibility of signing Kroos for the Premier League winners. However, the report does not mention when the ex-Barcelona manager tried to sign him.
Kroos had already rejected an approach from City and is now ready to do the same with Mourinho and United. The player wants to continue with his current employers and Kroos is one of those players who is considered ‘non-transferable’ by the 13-time European champions.
