Sheffield United midfielder Ismaïla Coulibaly is set to leave the club and join Austrian side LASK Linz.

That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that the midfielder will leave Sheffield United on a free transfer, but the Blades will retain a 5% clause on any profit LASK make on the player in future.

Coulibaly has been given permission to leave by Sheffield United and is set to fly out on Saturday morning to meet his new team.

He will sign a three-year deal with the Admiral Bundesliga side and bring his four year stay with the Blades to an end.

He joined them in a €2m deal from Sarpsborg 08 in September 2020 but only went on to make nine appearances in total for the club, instead spending his time out on loan with Beerschot VA in Belgium and the AIK in Sweden.

That latter deal ended in the summer, and he returned to Brammall Lane but has now been moved on once again, electing to head to Austria with LASK where he will be hoping to establish himself as a first team player and get his career back on the right track.
