Croatian outlet 24 Sata at the weekend brought some updates on the situation of West Bromwich Albion midfielder Filip Krovinovic.
The website featured a report saying Hajduk Split had a plan to sign the 25-year-old in the January transfer window. The Croatian side, however, had their idea blocked by Benfica, the parent club who loaned Krovinovic to the Baggies until the end of the season.
24 Sata writes that the Eagles have ‘other plans’ for Krovinovic for now, and even managed to get some quotes from the player’s agent to explain the situation.
“We have several offers from abroad for Filip, we are considering together with West Bromwich and Benfica what to do,” said Marjan Šišić.
“The situation is quite complicated due to the loan relationship between these two clubs, so we will know more about everything in a few days.”
24 Sata reports that Krovinovic is currently at West Brom’s ‘exit door’, while Greek and English clubs are interested in his signing.
The midfielder had a good spell with the Baggies in the 2019/20 season, but after having his loaned renewed, things went slightly different, as he’s only made 12 appearances in the current campaign, and hasn’t left the bench lately.
Recent reports from Portugal said Nottingham Forest were interested in signing Krovinovic, and he’d be happy to move elsewhere to get more minutes.
